Bush was a Blader
Here’s another tee I did for Blindeside Skateboarding, from their brief I’m guessing they’re anti Roller Blading.

I was recently very humbled to be included in the Anyforty & T-worldcollaboration Australian Invasion Tshirt series. I’ve been a big fan of both Eddie & Al for some time….but the real surprise was the amazing list of Australian artists they put together for the series. Beastman, Ben Bigeni, Dale Begeni, Ben Brown, Deb, Meggs, Numskull, Purdi Petunia & Ken Taylor 10 limited edition T-shirts each with [...]
continueHey gang, This is my first post here on BSV. I wanted to share my lastest project I finished up last month. I’m looking into making a sticker pack of these letters and possibly doing a little more with them. For the most part, this represents the look and feel of my design style.
continueI recently spoke at FieldTrip, a day event with a difference. The focus of FieldTrip was to look behind the scenes and see how people work and their processes. It had a wide variety of speakers from storyboard artists, photographers, 3D animators…… I decided from when first being approached to speak at FT to be very transparent to [...]
continueI made this illustration for Creative Cards, a project I’ve been invited to take part in. Here how the project is explained by the creator: “The main aim of the project is to create something astonishing, collectable and unique. We have invited 54 top digital creative ninjas and asked them to pick [...]

continueThis was a very exciting project for me . Scott from ShinBone Creative and I started chatting awhile back about working on a toy project together. We mulled over a few ideas, and decided that “Kyle” my bomb mascot would be a good option. Kyle has been a staple in my branding for the last few years, [...]
continueI recently completed a self-initiated project to design a poster for the band Warpaint. To get the hypnotic and atmospheric feeling of their music in my illustration I tried something a bit different from my usual style and used blobby shapes of colour. You can view some photos of the process I went through creating [...]

Yeah that’s an old rivalry from the early 90s when rollerblading got big. Sharp work though, love your shading techniques.
The water coloring gives it a unique feel.
It’s more than a rivalry. Some kids take this serious enough to actually assault bladers when they show up to a park. Your work is nice, but it sucks that you’re just promoting a blind hatred and supporting biggots like Blindside.
Cool Anon, I’ll take that on board.
I don’t see how this is a diss against blading, Bush was a badass – Plus this looks to be a younger Bush – A spend tons of money blowing coke and doing hookers Bush. A kind of Bush one could aspire to become… and of course get voted into office mere years later to steer the ship of the most powerful nation in the world. I’m fucking down with this. Hopefully Blindside starts carrying blades – I’d be the first one in to buy a pair.
Skateboardings insecurity at it’s finest. Not all of us skateboarders are so insecure and trite.
Nice try, really. But Bush is a woodpusher for sure. Clasping at straws while skateboarding tumbles down the rabbit hole? (aka walmart) Hating on blading worked once on the public, but they see us differently now.. bladers I mean. Baseless hate is not “in” anymore. You (skateboarders) are the jocks now, you guys are trend status quo to revolt against… and you can’t stand it, that much is obvious. All the best! Douche.
I am a rollerblader and a proud liberal. I ran a day support program for disabled adults for 7 years. I volunteer at my local farmers market. I have photographed and supported many political movements in the city of Atlanta. I strongly disagree with war but show immense respect to our soldiers whenever I have the opportunity. I support localism, sustainable manufacturing and eat a vegan/organic diet. You are an ignorant product of a mass marketing scheme created by intolerant hessian assholes who chase each other around pools on their skateboards. Skateboarding and rollerblading are both fun hobbies. The fact that our choice in aesthetic activities creates a rift between such like minded cultures is only being perpetuated by this horse shit. You sir, are working against a united and peaceful human population. Isnt beating people while they are down a move better suited for the Republican party?
