Vector Ink!

It’s not often I give much thought to vectors beyond the screen, print or the occasional skateboard and t-shirt. But there are times when someone comes out of nowhere and surprises you. These photos are of two such people, completely unrelated and on different sides of the globe.

One (above) is a lovely lady from the U.S who had my Ride This devil inked as part of a proposed LoungeKat montage on her upper arm – Unfortunately I haven’t heard from her in months and this is the only photo I have… I hope she sends some more – I’d really love to see this finished.

The other (below) is a fellow Aussie. She loved BoT’s FuBears so much that she had them tattooed to her thigh. This one blew me away. If I hadn’t seen this one on the screen I wouldn’t have thought it was vector at all. bot_tat

I would love to see photos from anyone out there with vector tattoos or have created vectors that have been made into tattoos. I may even be persuaded to get some ink of my own (Yes it’s hard to believe – I have none!)

They look exceptional. I love the top one, suits the shape of the arm so well. It;s nice seeing your own work tattooed on someone. It’s flattering to think that someone loved your artwork so much they are willing to carry it around with them for the rest of their life.

I know – it freaks me out. The woman who had my work inked had her husband do it at a tattoo expo – pretty exciting. She almost made the front of a magazine but was sick on the day of the photo-shoot… I really should email her every day until I get more photos :P

I wonder how the elderly will look in the future? ;)

  2. Yeah definitely a boost to the ego if someone likes your work enough to look at it everyday for the rest of their life =) Great stuff though, turned out really nice from what I can tell from the pics.
